AlphaTots Review

In AlphaTots, children are presented with a button for each letter of the alphabet and when they press each one, they are brought to a mini-game emphasizing verb that starts with that letter.

The best thing about AlphaTots is its sense of humor. Lily was my official tester for this app and she played it for a LONG time, laughing again at again, especially at the letter Y, which includes a "yank-the-cord" game. She wanted her Mom, Dad and both brothers to see that one.

AlphaTots also features a sing-along for the alphabet song, which is important because I think all preschool apps need to have at least one song.

Features of the app include 26 fun preschool puzzles and mini-games that help kids learn the alphabet! An engaging alphabet sing-a-long song. An interactive alphabet that helps kids recite their ABCs. Upper- and lowercase versions of every letter.
We liked the the hold-to-press functionality, The child must hold their finger down on a letter for a few seconds in order…

Use Yuggler to locate nearby activities to do with your kids - app review

Yuggler has a lot of potential as an app to locate activities for kids in a variety of categories. The interface is smooth, it's visually appealing, and it's completely FREE, even currently without ads! For the app to be useful, the users need to add more content. But even in the beginning stages this app is definitely worth a download for anyone looking for child-friendly activities.

Yuggler is a very promising app. The app is very simple to use and user friendly. To use this app, sign up for an account (or sign in with Facebook or Twitter) then use the Yuggler tools to figure out what to do with the kids, and to share ideas with other parents.

We love the concept, and the interface is very easy to use. Parents can use this app discover kids actitivities in their area. Using this app parents can plan a visit a park or a museum, find out where to rent bicycles on a vacation, or find time-sensitive festivals or events.

Adding activities and sharing with others is super easy w…

Good Free App of the Day: the amazing Autism Learning Games: Camp Discovery!

Camp discovery is designed for kids with autism, and presents concepts in a well structured manner consistent with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The structured approach starts with a preference assessment (to guide the rewards for each child!) and then gradually increases the difficulty of the task with successful responses.

This app was great for preschoolers and older students with special needs. It helped in building matching, sorting, and receptive skills.

The teaching methods used in Camp Discovery were designed by experts in the field of autism and are grounded in scientifically proven behavioral principles, including reinforcement and prompting. For correct responses, players receive visual and auditory rewards to keep them motivated and engaged. After incorrect responses, a unique prompting system guides the player to answer correctly. Although Camp Discovery was designed for individuals with autism, all individuals can benefit from its carefully developed teaching methods…
